Establishment of the Association of Scientific and Technical Translators of Serbia in1960 was a first important step in development of the translation and interpretation profession.
In addition to the provision of translation services, the Association has promptly started to train the newcomers in this sector by using the great experience of its small membership for the benefit of the profession.
The school was first named Terminology School, to become a One year course for translators and interpreters.
